Celebrating the 2nd Annual 1-800-GOT-JUNK? and Second Chance Toys Holiday Donation Initiative

Second Chance Toys is honored to celebrate the Second Annual Toy Diversion and Donation initiative with our Valued Supporters, 1-800-GOT-JUNK?. This year, multiple franchise locations- including those in New Jersey, Georgia, California, Oregon, Washington, Maryland, New York, Colorado, Minnesota and beyond- collaborated with SCT to create meaningful local social and environmental impacts. Over the course of December 2024, Truck Teams collected over 3,000 pre-loved toys and kids’ items during their daily junk removal services, rescuing thousands of toys that might otherwise have ended up in landfills.

Thanks to 1-800-GOT-JUNK?’s efforts and their system-wide commitment to sustainability, Second Chance Toys was able to match each operation with a local recipient organization, ensuring the toys stayed within their home communities. Just in time for the holidays, the 1-800-GOT-JUNK? teams delivered their toy hauls to their assigned SCT partner organizations, making the season brighter for thousands of children across the United States. This year we are celebrating over 12,000 pounds of plastic diverted from landfills, and at least 6,000 children positively impacted with EACH round of shared play. We’re so grateful for the continued support from 1-800-GOT-JUNK? coast to coast and can’t wait to continue making impacts together!
