Over 850 Toys Bring Joy to Families and Kids in Hard Hit Areas of Atlantic City

Seane Corn (center) and friends came together to support ongoing efforts to help communities affected by Hurricane Sandy. Off the Mat, Into New Jersey was a benefit that took place at the Atlantic City Convention Center on December 22. Over 850 toys were donated by attendees and yoga studios throughout New Jersey and nearby states to benefit families hard hit by Sandy.

Scouts Volunteer at Fair Lawn Recycling Center

Cub Scouts from Glen Rock Pack 1 and Ridgewood Pack 8 volunteered their time to clean and sort  toys at the Fair Lawn Recycling Center Holiday Collection. The volunteers and their parents came to the center on a Saturday morning ready to work knowing that their efforts would make a world of difference to the recipient children in Bergen and Passaic counties.

NY Giant Delivers Toys with SCT

New York Giants Fullback Henry Hyonski helped deliver toys with SCT to children at PS142 in New York City. A big THANK YOU  to the Educational Alliance, our holiday collection partners at Kidville, and 1-800-GOT-JUNK? for making the event a success!

Choka Lyme 3rd Annual SCT Collection

Tis’ the season to be jolly! Choka Lyme’s 3rd Annual Second Chance Toys collection was a great success. The SCO Family Services located in Sea Cliff, New York welcomed the donation of toys with open arms as the volunteers brought their collection of gently used plastic toys to their need. Choka Lyme’s mission statement reads, “Simple people doing simple things in a big way”, and that certainly proved to be true this holiday season.

With Sympathy

We are deeply saddened by the terrible losses suffered in Newtown, Connecticut. Our hearts go out to the families, school staff and the community of Sandy Hook Elementary School.

You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,

The Second Chance Toys Team
